  • Holds
    • Registration Holds prevent registration for the upcoming semester.
    • Holds can be placed on student accounts for various reasons
      • Student Financial Services
      • AU Medical Clinic
      • Your Academic Department
      • Other authorized individuals
    • To clear a hold on your account, you must contact the office that placed the hold. Your academic advisor can help determine the source of the hold, but cannot clear the hold.
  • Pins
    • You may have a registration pin placed on your account, preventing you from registering.
    • Reasons you may have a pin:
      • GPA of 2.3 or lower
      • Required to meet for registration advising
      • Required to meet for a graduation audit
      • First semester freshman or transfer student
    • To clear your pin, email or make an appointment with your COSAM advisor.
  • Waitlists
    • If a class is full and has an available waitlist, you may join the waitlist for that course.
    • If you are offered a seat in the wailisted course, you have 24 hours to accept the seat according to the instructions of the seat notification email.
    • Waitlisted courses are not guaranteed and COSAM advises that students have alternate course plans.
    • Students are advised to have a full-time schedule not including any waitlisted courses.

    GAP = Grade Adjustment Policy.

    • Undergraduates may delete GPA computation for 3 grades of D, F, FA, WF, or U.
    • Does not apply to transfer credit, courses earned in a previous baccaleareate degree, or grades that have been assigned as a result of academic dishonesty.
    • Required courses for degree completion must be retaken at Auburn.
    • Gapped grades will be seen by graduate schools and professional programs and they may use the un-gapped GPAs in the their selection process.

    Transient Courses

    • Auburn students in good standing may be approved to take courses at another institution on a transient basis.
    • To take transient courses, students must fill out the transient form.
    • After completion of the transient course, it is the student's responsibility to send their transcript to Auburn.
    • If the course is not listed on the online transient form, you will need to see your advisor.

  • Walk-Ins are Monday afternoons from 1:30-3:30pm in SCC 239. Students are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • You can schedule a meeting with Pre-Health Programs in Advise Assist by following the steps below:
    • Click Make an Appointment
    • Choose Academic Advising and Student Services from the first drop-down menu
    • In the second drop-down menu, choose Pre-Health Programs. You may have to scroll almost to the bottom to find it.
    • Choose the appropriate appointment type. The date will automatically populate.
    • Click Find Available Appointments
    • Choose your preferred date and time or search by staff.
  • OR scroll below to find the Pre-Health advisor you will like to meet with and click Appointment.
